Two aspects determined UAB Ignetas‘ decision to install a solar power plant. First, the company operates internationally, and its customers particularly value the company’s sustainable actions. Second, the company sought to reduce the company’s electricity bills significantly.
The capacity of the solar power plant was determined based on the company’s instantaneous electricity consumption. During the implementation of the project, electricity storage on the grid was only possible for up to 100 kW. Therefore, a smaller PV system was the best-suited solution.
UAB Ignetas uses professional metal processing equipment, which is sensitive to fluctuations in electricity supply, so a safe and secure electricity supply was essential. This led to the choice of an optimized system. The optimized SolarEdge power plant provides a safe voltage that automatically shuts off in the event of a fault. Also, this smart system helps solve another challenge. As the building is near a gravel road, amounts of dust settle on the modules. The monitoring app allows you to identify when the solar modules need to be cleaned.
